Mars

Mars Class is one of our Year 3/4 classes, led by Mr Simpson.

Remember: Homework is given out on Wednesdays and is due in the following Monday. We encourage children to read as regularly as possible, and expect their school reading book to be read at least 3 times a week and recorded in their planner. PE days are Tuesday and Friday and children should come into school wearing their PE kits on these days.

As part of our work on Extreme Earth, our Year 4 pupils have written their own poems about Tsunamis, destructive tidal waves.  They thought about their 5 senses.

This term Mars Class have been experimenting with collage.  As a first step, we used crepe paper, sugar paper and tissue paper to create this collage starburst.

A Spooky Tale for Christmas

Last night we celebrated the last of our five public performances of ‘Humbug!’  The BJA hall was transformed into a theatre with lights, staging and sound effects as Mr Scrooge was visited by various ghosts and finally learned the true value of Christmas. The huge round of applause and positive comments made all the hard work worth it, even if there are some very tired thespians this morning

Our Whole School Visit to ‘The Deep’, Hull.

As a conclusion to this term’s work on ‘Under The Sea’, we all went to ‘The Deep’ in Hull.  It was an excellent day: our favourite things were the penguins, walking through the see-through tunnel and the workshop. Huge thanks to the brilliant parents who came – we couldn’t do it without you.:)

The Digestive System

We have used orange juice, bread and tights to model how the digestive system works. It was gross!

We have been thinking about the 5 Rs which are the core of our School.

We have made a display to show how we take responsibility for ourselves and our school. These are some of our ideas – we are Junior Academy children after all.
